 <description>&lt;p&gt;I don&#039;t doubt he had an effect, but he also did some other things. Many conservatives saw the ploy as rather distastefully and didn&#039;t like the muddied waters that Limbaugh created. Also, since Obama is clearly going to be the winner, and Rush had announced that &quot;He&#039;s rather run against Clinton&quot;, he has defined that he actually lost in his attempt to get what he wants.&lt;br /&gt;
When you act so badly that even the hard core Conservatives speak up, you went overboard.&lt;br /&gt;
