Dirty election tricks

Desperate people will do desperate things.

There are reports that Republicans are placing thousands of harrassing robo-calls to anger voters. The calls start out by saying they have a message from a Democratic candidate, then go on to make that person sound not so likable, and the calls continue on for many, many minutes before, at the very end, you find out they are paid for by the Republicans. By this time, almost everyone hangs up and thinks it's the Democrat who . But if you do that, the robot calls you again and again. Some people are reporting being called eight or more times a night.

This is clearly aimed to make voters angry at Democrats, a cheap trick by a desperate GOP.

If you hear of any of these called, report it talk@talkingpointsmemo.com.
